What Does CertiPUR-US® Mean?
CertiPUR-US® is a voluntary certification program for polyurethane foam used in bedding and upholstered furniture. To earn this certification, foam must be made without ozone depleters, PBDEs or TDCPP flame retardants, mercury, lead or other heavy metals, formaldehyde, and phthalates regulated by the CPSC.
Certified foams are also tested for low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality — less than 0.5 parts per million. Every Zinus foam layer carries this certification, which is renewed annually through independent accredited laboratories.
